An artist’s business plan and a bottle of wine

If you read our advice on creating and artist’s business plan and think “but I just want to be an artist” or “so and so’s online advice seems easier”, then you are buying into the fantasy world that non-working artists are promoting and will have to make some intelligent choices :-) .

The 3 things your business plan must have!

At the end of the year, most people are in dual modes of looking back at how their business did over the past year and looking forward to what can be improved in the New Year. It’s probably time to blow the dust off your old business plan and see what’s missing.

Taking a lesson from a pro entrepreneur

He said to me, ‘You’ll never succeed without me.’ And I knew, right then and there that moment, I thought, ‘Oh yeah? I’d rather die than let you see me not succeed.’ And you know what? That was an insurance policy for success. Every time I was thinking of failing or giving up, I would think of one more thing, just because I didn’t want them laughing at me! Your mom lied. Your work needs editing.

Staying on task! Psyching yourself up!

I need to Remind myself every step of the way that having a marketing plan is not just about making more money or more sales, it is also about taking care of my clients after their portrait commission

Making your own prints!

If you have been thinking of making your own prints from your artwork without spending a fortune or investing in a lot of expensive equipment, and you are not sure how to start or what to do, then our April 14th workshop is for you!

The nitty gritty of selling your art workshop…

Quite frankly, as working artists, our money is in our art, not our ebooks. But the encouragement and motivation we generate is priceless! :-)

Starving artist sale

Starving Artist Sale! I hope none of you EVER participates in a show or sale where this is the headline grabber! “Well”, you say, “What else should we use? It IS a sale and we ARE starving!” Humor aside, think what you are implying. You might as well yell “ART GIVEAWAY!”or “CHEAP! ALMOST FREE!” Most [...]
