I found this years ago in New Mexico...I would be in a gift shop and watched the Indian women come in with what they had made and aggressively sell to the shop owner....and I saw them set up on sidewalks selling their goods, unashamed of their prices...it was all about the fact that they were just trying to survive....they inspired me then and still do today. I am barely making a living at this and I am at the same point that they are and somehow am surviving....largely in part from their inspiration although they will never know that.
You are so very right in the correlation between need and motivation.....
