Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Oh my. Christmas is almost here and it came so fast!
And it feels like Christmas! We are currently in front of the fire, enjoying our coffee, the lights on the Christmas tree and a few minutes of relative quiet (there are 5 dogs here) and.....the snow! We are watching our second snowfall of December.
And if that does not get you into the Christmas mood......
Ah, but the real test of staying in that mood comes when we go out into the cold to break the ice on the water trough for the ponies and goats, fill the bird feeders, bring in more firewood, salt the steps....if we were up north instead of NC, we would have the necessary equipment (such as heaters in the watering troughs) to make the chores less arduous.
But, oh well, there is something quietly satisfying in accomplishing those tasks, seeing that the animals are comfortable, watching the dogs go nuts in the snow and tossing out sunflower seeds to what is looking like a hundred birds in our yard!
The convenience of having our art studio a few yards from our house is apparent on mornings such as this. In just a little while, we'll head into the studio to complete the last of our Christmas art orders.
We have so many new images of the artwork we have created for you that we would love to show everyone, but too many are wonderful surprises so we can't until after Christmas. :-) We love the fact that many people will open a one of a kind present on Christmas morning and that we were a part of that joy!
