Using pastel, learn how to capture colors, shading and highlights in a Still Life! Theresa will show you how to make your still lifes pop with the techniques of rendering metals such as pewter and copper.  Delve into the delicacy of lace and china!  You'll see lighting techniques, blending techniques and the best pastel surfaces for use in Still lifes!.

 

Pastels-dry pastels such as Rembrandt, Mungyo and Nu-pastels will be best. For still liffes you will need at least the sets of 48. 
Pastel pencils-Carbothello-set of at least 12
pastel surfaces: we will work with Canson-bring half sheets of medium gray or blue/gray.  Bring smaller pieces to practice on.
