It is pretty exciting for us to be included in Vicki Moon’s new, sensational book, Equestrian Style! Amazon describes it as Home Design, Couture and Collections from the eclectic to the elegant. We are featured in the section “On the Road”. In fact many of the people whose homes and styles are featured in the book are collectors of Steve’s paintings. So click on the above image to link to Amazon.com and pick up your copy!

We are going to be at Gallery B in Lexington KY, for the debut of Vicky's book. We will have a portrait and a couple of paintings displayed in the gallery and Steve will be outside painting in the street. That's this Friday, July 18th, 6:00-8:00pm. 145 West Main St. Lexington, KY

What’s New in the Art Studio

Pop over to our website to see recent portraits that we’ve completed. I completed an oil of two dogs for the W. Paul family of Pennsylvania.

I am also, among other projects, currently working on an oil portrait of Ashton. It will be a somewhat matching painting to the portrait of her sister, Lorrie, shown here.

Steve is busy completing oils depicting the coastal scenes for an upcoming show and I am hard at work at several more.
He has several galleries asking for his work now. In Aiken, SC, stop in the Equine Divine Gallery  to see his oils. He will have a show in September at the Aiken Center for the Arts as well as as a plein air painting workshop the weekend of September 27. He’s easily reached via his website and you can order or purchase his work online!

Art Trivia
When Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa was stolen from the Louvre in 1912, 6 replicas were sold as the original, each at a huge price, in the 3 years before the original was recovered

Quote of the day

"It is, in fact, nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of instruction have not yet entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry..."
Albert Einstein

Note: modern methods in his time are not the same modern methods we have now.

Interesting Trivia or Did you Know?

Tourists visiting Iceland should know that tipping at a restaurant is considered an insult.

When glass breaks, the cracks move faster than 3,000 miles per hour. To photograph the event, a camera must shoot at a millionth of a second.
