What's been happening. Wow, we have had the GREAT ADVENTURE! It’s been a week since we returned from California. We participated in the Indian Wells Art Festival April 3-5. That alone was part of the 3 week adventure as the show was closed the first day because of the high winds. We’re not talking about 25 mph winds, here. We are talking about the kind that keeps those 1000+ windmills powered all up and down the valley. The kind of winds that send artist booths flying into neverland…the kind of wind…well you get the picture! Palm Springs is in an absolutely lovely location! We posted scenes on our blogs as part of the adventure was not just the wind at the show. No, we are talking about traveling across the country (and back-long story) on Interstate 40 where we experienced fog, torrential rains, blizzards that closed the Interstate (I am not kidding) in Texas. Their were snows in New Mexico (coming AND going) I wonder if spring comes sometime in July? And let’s not forget the dust in California and Arizona! WE discovered that Oklahoma as well as Tennessee were interesting states as they must be where Storm Chasers film their TV shows? You know, the people chasing the tornadoes? The storms that surrounded us and made the hair stand up on the back of our necks were apparently helpful in putting out the fires that were raging through Oklahoma….. You know, NC looked SO good after traveling across the continent! |

On
a serious note
Perhaps
you have all read about the tragic deaths of 21 polo ponies in
Wellington, FL recently? Steve realized that he had actually painted
those horses while we were down there in March. See it here.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all those owners and riders who tried to save them |

For the
Artists only We talk to SO many artists at our shows and events that we have condensed all the information that we are asked into a series of ebooks that we know will help them in their careers as artists! Just as in every goal that we all pursue, there are no shortcuts! But as in riding, a good trainer can shorten that learning curve! And that is what we have done here! |

Quote
of the day "There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence to see for themselves." "Even if you are on
the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."
