As painters, Steve and I tend to be visual in our observations but it doesn’t take an artist to see that Spring is just about here.
It’s nice to take the time though and notice the colors that spring brings. The Bradford pear trees were pretty spectacular this year.  When none of the leaves are on any trees yet,  the white blooms of this symmetrical tree form an almost surreal shape against the  landscape…..especially when seen in rows down driveways!
I try not to take for granted the profusion of yellows of the daffodils or the myriad of colors in the tulip beds.  For those of you who have never tapped a maple tree and made your own syrup from the sap, well, now, that’s the  real call of spring!

What’s New in the Art Studio

Pop over to the website to see recent portraits that we’ve completed. I completed a rather large oil of the Foster family complete with their 2 horses and dog.
The Raynor family took home their family oil and I am hard at work at several more.

painting red fox hemlock tree in snow    Steve has several galleries asking for his work now. In Aiken, SC, stop in the Equine Divine Gallery to see his oils. In Middleburg, VA, the Byrne Gallery has several of his oils and is planning a show later in the season.  As always though, he’s easily reached via his website and you can order or purchase his work online!
